Kitten Live! - Leaves

The weather was extremely well throughout the day. Kitten went out to our front yard and play. I scooped all the leaves on the grass together and Kitten loved playing on it.

"They think it's a boy." Dr. Halmo reviewed the ultrasound exam, "and everything is fine."
So now, K2 has his own nickname, Tigger. Having a boy, I guess, I am going to deal with another creature from a different planet. But it should be a great thing having a little gentleman that is so close to me. In addition, looks like we have to prepare another set of baby clothes.

Kitten Live!! - Kitten on the phone

Woo, it's been a long time since our most recent clip. This time, we got Kitten talking on the phone. We've been thinking of video taping Kitten talk for a long time but just cannot catch a good occasion to do so. You know the time when you take the camera or camcorder out, it actually distract the little one and he or she simple stops talking and wants to touch or poke your own toy. This morning, my mom called and Kitten kept grabbing my phone and wanting to talk to her granny. I should thank my mom for giving me this wonderful chance here.
Note:This is a move type of clip. That means, you need quicktime for viewing this clip. My new digicam did quite a good job capturing sound and motion pictures. However, this 46 seconds clip is over 3mb. Can some one tell me how to reduce its size?
Another Kitten talk that we want to record is her utterance of her vocabulary. Kitten's way of saying these words are just super cute. Wish me luck getting these words soon. They just keep growing.

Moms and Aunties had fun making food while kids hung out. It's so nice to see them hiding under kitchen table, holding hands singing 'twinkle twinkle little star'. Of course there were times they pushed or fought over toys but at the end everyone seemed to become good friends.

I think it's better for me to stay at home and get some rest and some house work done. In fact, today might be my first home day since kitten and my previous flu. Since then, we've been busy participating programs and hanging out with friends. However, staying at home is good, too. I got plenty of hot water to drink, done some personal, house, and computer work and Kitten's coughs is getting less. It's good staying at home sometimes.

Again, both me and Kitten. I think it was the coldness of master's bedroom. For unknown reason, the heat generate by furnace seemed to reach our room only a little bit. Therefore, it can be very cold in the early morning around 5 A.M.. Unfortunately, it is very very hard to put a quilt on Kitten because that would simply wake her up. Just two days after she has running nose, my throat feels sore. I guess we'll need some stay-at-home-day again.

Ally took us to a historical site just for sight seeing. It only took us less than 15 minutes from home and the leaves are beautiful there. The weather was gorgeous in the morning and the leaves were just turning yellow. I think we still have chance to see more colors in the coming days. One thing, do wear nice warm coats, though it was sunny, it can still be a bit freezing after staying outside for too long.

Dada and Kitten's Dance

Dada's new excercise. He started holding Kitten in his last 2 dances yesterday. Since then, after seeing Dada on the dance pad, Kitten would reach out to him and say "bao!" (Hold me!)

We've got a new digi cam, Olympus C-4040, plus, a photo printer, HP 5550. I think these two are great combinations. The reason why I choose Olympus just because I don't like using flash while taking pictures for Kitten and my prior experience with Olympus' no-flash photo was quite satisfactory. As to the HP printer, it was recommended by the sales in Future Shop and its online reviews are also pretty well. In fact, we tried one photo printer (Lexmark Z55) a couple of days ago and its printout quality was very poor. In contrast, we were simply amazed when the test page came out from the HP printer. Now we've printed out few pictures and replaced the old ones in the frames. So cool. :-)

It's all coming back. The memory of later stage pregnancy while I had Kitten. Since last week, I started to feel more weight of my tummy than before. For one day, I even felt not so well that I wanted to call my doctor for an appointment. It was on the same day that I found bending a bit longer has become difficult because the whole tummy weight make my waist sore pretty easily. On the other hand, I can feel K2's move more often. Once in a while, I can also feel the so call "contraction practice" of my tummy. I guess I will remember more about what I've been when I had Kitten, that's fine. Just think about the excitement of meeting a new born would worth all these efforts. That I still remember.

We followed Ally to WPL this morning. Kitten got her own membership card (her first one!) and we borrowed some board book right away. While Alli and Jia-chi were in session, Kitten stayed in the kiddo book area playing and reading.

These are the pictures we took during the past one week. (Gee, I should keep up my regular blogging routine.) Well, for the past one week, we've had a fun Oktoberfest weekend, exciting play time outside of our house on sunny days and went to Applefest in an historical site. The only thing was that my cam was broken after pulling off from the table. Fortunately I have another one standing by. Digi cams are sooo fragile.

Ally gave Kitten and I a tour to the famous Farmer's Market. She told me where to get good fish on the bun, kabab, French fries and fresh fruit and veggies. We also stopped by few performers in the market. As usual, Kitten would approch the musicans and started her dance. We liked this place a lot and hope to bring Dada here with us next time.

No more struggle

Changing diapers used to be a big issue in our family. It was difficult for Kitten to lie still so we usually need a short video clip of Teletubbies or I would just call for dada's help. Until about a month ago, things start to get better. We played her favorite tunes during diaper changing time and she would just stay still until I told her to "go". At that time, it was the tune that signal her diaper change and everything worked out fine. Moreover, about two to three days ago, after seeing we set up her changing pad, she would come over and just lie one it. At the same time, she would say "Guai" (meaning 'good'), like what we used to say to her. This afternoon, after seeing me bring out the pad, she simply take it over, put it on the floor, sit, lie down and again"Guai". What a good Kitten.

I was quite frustrated when Kitten turned her head away from the chicken and veggie noodle without even a bite. "She will eat when she's hungry." I remembered what I read from an article and decide to put the dish away. Still, I was not sure if this will work. Later around 7:40, which was usually the time for after-dinner-exercise, I put Kitten back to her high chair and heat the noodle for her. This time, she started eating. Moreover, she had 3 small bowls of noodles!! Although she still dropped some things she doesn't like such as chicken and carrots. But she hand picked green beans and peas and delivered them right into her mouth. Her dinner ended with a big cup of milk following by a nice warm bath. I am glad that things ends up well tonight. Never, never lose patient.
Note: This afternoon, she had quite some food during the snack time, I guess that partially delay her feeling of hunger.

Our little K2 is ultra active inside of mama's tummy. And it looks like there's still quite some space there for he/she to move around. Not sure of the gender of K2? That's right. We have to wait until radiologist's report to my doctor. So I guess we have to wait till next my appointment time at the end of this month.

Kitten is 18 months old today!

18 months, another milestone she reaches. Kitten is a happy girl now, a little bit clingy to mama, a little picky on food, still likes to do a little dance while hearing her favorite music. And boy, she's having quite some words now and her vocab list is growing day after day. Our days are more exciting with her around.
