Kitten started putting blankets on herself this afternoon and evening. In the past, she always kicked off whatever we put on her that we have to use a wrap-up bell like blanket to make sure that she's got something warm. This imitated behavior actually started a few days earlier when she wanted to put a blanked while seeing Dada sleeping on the sofa. Also, she wanted to put blanket on toys and objects that she thinks are sleeping. Now, it's finally her own turn. :-)

K2 blog: 35 weeks - Stretching Pain

It's a pretty common thing for second time mom to feel this type of pain on their tummy because of the growth their babies. Dr. Halmo explained to me this morning. I have this on the right side of my tummy. The right side of my back sores and the soreness can go up to my neck sometimes if I keep standing for a while. The good news is that K2 is strong and healthy and my visit to the doctor will be another 2 weeks away.

Recently, Kitten starts running around to put off her diaper change and clothes wearing time, intentionally. Partially, I guess, is just for fun. However, as her running time extends, my waiting becomes not that much fun. I used tried dressing up or diaper change her ty cat but now this trick is starting to lose its magic. Any moms have good ideas?
Feb 22 Note: This evening, I put her milk cup high on the shelf before she can reach it then use it as a *exchanging condition. "Com'on over and lie down and you'll have your milk." That's what I said to her. Works immediately. As to day time diaper change, I have to use the old method -- TV, I don't like this idea much though but that's the best I can do in so far.

One of Kitten's happiest time in a day is bath/bed time simply because she has Dada to keep her company and brings her lots of fun.

Kitten finished all her lunch and dinner today, just not on her high chair. The situation is that she would start playing and making funny sounds once a plate or a bow of food is placed in front of her on the high chair. Neither stopping her from playing by taking the plate away nor letting her do whatever she want won't help her eating much. The only condition of keeping her on her chair is to show her something she really really like, and give it to her bit by bit. For example, Orange and green leave veggie that we had tonight. So, when is the time for rice? Simple, when she's off the high chair. Like a bird, she flies around and comes back for a bite after finishing one. Sometimes she would need a bit reminding if her attention was carried too far away. Should I instruct her the right manner now or just let her finish her meal?

They recognize some Kindermusik songs as the sleeping song, so when the songs are played, they just lay down and pretend to go to sleep.

Kitten behaved extraordinary well these 2 days when we went out. I mean, normally she hates being tided up in the car seat and always very cranky near noon. But now, not only does she rarely fuss about but she often talks to me and sing her own lovely chants. One thing that I do, I believe partially related, is that I turn the music off and started talking to her about where we are going, what we are passing by and one more thing, her new favorite musli bun with raisins, sun flower and sesame seeds. We went to lots of places these 2 days and Kitten had problem being taken in and out of our car again and again. I think she really grows up.

My visit to Dr. Halmo was pretty short and sweet today. Once again, he confirmed that K2's position is right and will stay head down till being born. The reason why I can feel his kicking on both side of my belly is that because there is still enough room there for him to turn from side to side. The contractions that I feel late at night are still Braxton Hicks contractions, i.e. false alarms, although sometimes I can feel a little bit of pain. All in all, baby's heartbeat sounds good, he still hasn't move down yet, and since the due day is getting near, my next appointment with Dr. Halmo is scheduled in 2 weeks.
