Noteworthy
--
For the first time, Kitten did not go panic when we arrive daycare this morning. We went into her classroom together and she said goodbye to me cheerfully. When I return to pick her up by noon, she told me that she was very happy at school and want to come back again. After that, she went hugging her teacher goodbye. Nice going. Kitten.

PT Diary - going steady
--
With proper reminding, Kitten can hardly miss peeing. However, her attitude toward pooping seems more reluctant. This morning in KW-YMCA, Lynda explained this situation to me. Put in simple words, it's more difficult for bowl movement training. Kids usually master urinating first. To continue Kitten's potty project at school, she suggested me to bring to school 5+ pairs of panties and an extra pair of shoes. Pull up is not necessary there, which is a good thing because I can save more money with her wearing panties. Besides, her teachers will check her every hour when she's at school.

Quote of the day "Lots of praise and not to be angry when accidents happen." Said Lynda.

Sorting Stickers
--
An interesting thing along our potty project is that we found kitten likes to collect same kinds stickers and put them together on her potty sheet. So we have families of ladybugs and butterflys plus flowers of the same color/pattern in groups. It's interesting to realise that even two-year-old love sorting things out like this.

Missed 3. All because she was engaged in activities such as playing or eating. A good thing is that she seem to be able to hold it longer now since we do not have many stickers on the baord today.

PT Diary II

Missed one. The poop. Waking up from nap is quite critical because a pee or poop often happen at this time. However, I was feeding Tigger this afternoon so it was quite natural that we missed it.

PT Diary - We are doing it again
--
Since Kitten has no school this week from Today. I decide that it may be a good time for us to Potty Training again. This time, we have a piece of paper for Kitten to put stickers on every timr she made a successful move. This seems work quite well. Now we've already have 2 flowers, 4 ladybugs, 3 butterflies, two flowers, 2 worms, and one small butterfly. In another words, Kitten had 2 poops and lots of pee pees, missed 3 only (all partially excepted one when she was having fun playing in the basement). In addition, she can take her panty off and put it back on after finishing potty. I think we are doing great this time.

Another big step Kitten made. With Ai-li's help, she did it in the garage while we were having BBQ.

Growing Up
--

Aunty Stella took this picture for Kitten. She's a big girl now, and getting naughtier, too.

Tigger's playing with hanging toys. Recently, he's been trying hard to turn. It's working soon.

Everybody loves Tigger's soft, long hair. However, as summer's finally come. I decided to trim it and hope Tigger can feel more comfortable.

A Big Thank You
--
To all the staffs in Our Place for providing Kitten, Tigger and I a cosy place where we all learn and have fun. Special thanks to M.C., Caro, Shirl, Pam, Lisa and all volunteer workers in the rooms Tigger and Kitten stays. Kitten learned to overcome her separation anxiety here, which is a big step for all of us. We simply cannot wait for reopening of Ontario Early Year Center. Thanks a lot to you all.

Tigger is 4 month old today!!
--
This morning in our place, M.C. helped Tigger to sit up with pillows and blankets all around. Being able to view the world in a sit up position made him feel quite different. In fact, now whenever I let him grab my finger, he always try to bring himself up. As to his weight and height growth, well, we are visiting Dr. Deen for checkup tomorrow afternoon. More to come then.

Software Review
--
After trying out these movie making software during these 2 weeks, I should write a short review here so my past two week won't look like a blank spot on my blog. (Although I have to admit diving into these software trial can really make ones life go blank because they hooks your mind that make you easily ignores other things around you.)

WINDVD creator: I have fun dividing and combining chapters but was never able to produce a real movie file because the software seems to collapsed at that point.

Pinnacle Express: Won't take the AVI file I captured earlier that I don't even have a chance to try how to edit. I do not want to bother capturing the video again.

Ulead Video Studio: I have trouble dividing my film into chapters according to scene change. It only allows me to cut the clip every few minutes and that don't make sense. Still I use it to create the first DVD and send it to my parents.

Ulead movie factory: a simpler software compare with video studio. I would recommend it for basic video editing and DVD making if I can solve the chapter dividing issue.

Vaio's Click to DVD: A final soft that I have been avoiding but solve all my problems in the end. It's fast and easy and help me arrange different chapters the way I want it. After capturing video, I only have to spend half an hours adjusting chapters and I can leave computer working before going to bed. Now, If I can wish for more, it will be MORE THEMES.
Ulead DVD Picture Show: This one I would recommend. With this, I have already made a DVD which contains slide show of Kitten since her birth till now. Again, it is ready to go next Monday when I visit Post office.

Success
--
The first home DVD I made has arrived at my parents' place and they all love it. My mom told me that my dad has already watch it more than 2 times. Now that I can create the home movies with ease, I want to put all the tapes we had onto these DVDs and send a copy to my parents overseas.

Digital Scrapbooking
--
That is, putting all the digital pictures we have onto DVD as slide shows. I have successfully create a sample slide show disk and start sorting through our earliest pictures ever since. It brought me back to all the good memories we have we our family and friends. Also, I just realized this is gonna be a big project, not just a day-or-two work. Till now, I would say I probably won't be able to finish it until the end of the week. But just think of what a great gift it will be for grandparents and for ourselves makes me want to finish it up and make it look good as soon as I can.

Again, our pictures are accumulating, but if you don't see me posting it in these days, you know what I am busy doing.

My two children
--
I've been thinking Tigger is my little handsome since the first time I saw him, and now I still am.

And for Kitten, look how she's grown into a pretty little girl.

Summer School
--
I can hardly find any acitivity for Kitten this summer, except dance, which she doesn't like. Therefore, I decide to have her join Carlline in YMCA during weekdays in the morning so that she can continue having her social life.

Kicking
--
"Babies remember things even when they are tiny. They would kick play gym over and over again once they found out that they can reach it with their feet." This is what I heard in the Learning Begins sessions this Wednesday. This morning, Carol in the baby room told me excitingly "Anthony can kick the play gym. I was so excited when I see that yesterday and he just kept doing it." This time, I had him lying on the floor and he still tries hard kicking. Sweet.

Making Movies
--
I've got both my firewire cable and blank DVD this afternoon. Now I am putting the DV and Vaio together to download the most recent tape we recorded. In the mean time, I am returning to dada's wireless notebook to catch up my missing blogs and pictures. Dada deserves a big thank you for providing me such a good multitasking fun environment. It's like a nice small world to dive into especially after a day with 2 little ones.

On our own
--
Last night was Tigger's first night by himeself. Everything went pretty good. He woke up once for feeding around 4 and then sleep till 7 something. Kitten stayed in her bed during the first half of the night and then quietly went snuggling with dada. Even so, it was a sweet thing to wake up on a big bed and having a morning hug all together.

1-2-3
--
"I have 3 grapes." Kitten told me yesterday evening when we were having grapes after dinner. To make sure Kitten does know the idea of 3, dada tried one more time by giving her different number of grapes. Finally, we conclude that 3 is Kitten's maxium number now.

New bed
--
We relocated most of the furniture in our bedroom to accommodate a twin size bed so that Kitten can have her own sleeping place. So now we have a huge king size bed in the center and a little twin size by the wall. We let Kitten play toys on her bed to make her feel nice about it. Tomorrow I will put on new sheets for her to make it more like a space of her own.

Now that we are on the subject of sleeping, here's Tigger's sleeping update. First of all, no, he still did not sleep through. Instead, he's still on the 3.5-4 hours feed and sleep cycle at night. That means, I still can't sleep through, either. However, the good thing is that his day activities are pretty routine and predictable, besides, he goes to bed early and all by himself, too (compare with Kitten's early months). Therefore, I would say Tigger is mama's good boy.
