I made my second bread this afternoon with Kitten this afternoon. Based on
the taro toast recipe, I made a strawberry-smoothy toast from frozen strawberries we picked up earlier in summer.
Kitten sat on the kitchen floor with me measuring all the ingredients and put them into the backing pan. She loved seeing the machine mixing the dough, also, in her words, the dough running, sleeping and growing in the bowl. Finally
when the toast is done, she had a nice small slice. We're gonna have more tomorrow morning for breakfast.

DD, or DiDi, is the sound of little brother in Chinese.
Kitten always gets a cookie as a treat from Caro or MC when she visit Tigger with me at the end of the morning. She always asks for one more and brings it to Tigger. Now both teacher in Tigger's room know DD is little brother and always gives two C-O-O-K-I-E-s to Kitten when she shows up. Nice.

Kitten the little water softener

Kitten had trouble going pee pee in the washroom inside of our room. After a few struggles, I realize that she's afraid of the sound of the water softener in the basement. One night, I tell her not to be afraid because it's a hard working water softener that works through the night. Then I show her the machine in the basement the following morning. Now she calls herself "the little water softener." Cute. And of course, her tension of going to the washroom and hearing strange noise is not a big issue any more.
