Thank you ~
--
Tigger said that. And it made gradema very happy.

Grandpa told me this story about how Tigger tell grandma his first 'thank you' for his orange junice. In a distance, Tigger said again "Thank you". "He sounds so nice and cute." Grandpa said.

And I agree.

Robert Munsch's Website
--
http://www.robertmunsch.com/
Robert Munsch reads and talk about his book and whole lot more!!
--
Kitten and I started reading Robert Munsch's book before Tigger was born. The first book we read was 'Love you forever', which I translated to Chinese and changed the lyrics of the song a little bit. We both loved the story and I switched the little boy to Tigger later on. Another thing Kitten liked about this book is the a cat that appeared in every page. In the Chinese story CD I made for Kitten, I included this story as well.

Later in Early Year Center, we read Mortimer (in fact, Kitten had it first), paper bag princess, and Murmel, Murmel, Murmel. I think that was the time I started to like this arthor more and more.

It was really strange for me to discover this website so late. However, I was so glad that I found it and was even more excited to hear Robert reading the stories himself.

This Xmas when I visit Kitten in China, I want to bring more Robert's books along with 2 CDs, one with Robert reading the stories himself and the other will be me reading the stories in Chinese.

Googlize
--
Google.ca has been a starting page for my web browser for a long time. A few months ago, Picasa replaced my acdSee 6.3 for basic photo editing, e-mailing and photo blogging. Finally, I've been trying to tranfer my personal mail from many other accounts to my gmail account after trying it for a few month. Having 3 major tools of my internet life powered by Google, am I getting controlled?

Still, anyone need a gmail account? Let me know.

Shortest Path to School
--
I did it! Finally. With P's bike.

My landlord told me that it will be a 10+ minutes walk to school, but it took me over half an hour to find Althouse on the orientation day (In fact, I used the wrong building as my target destination). Now it's been a week and I still have no clue where the short cut is.

My route yesterday took me almost an hour - it was nearly dark when I got home. Still, I have not figure out how to get to school. Right, I know you go on Sarnia road and turn south on Western road, but that's when you are driving.

So, at the end of my biking, which I decided not to go out to the city like yesterday, I thought maybe I should try to find out the so-called shortest path one more time. I tried both exit to the neighborhood from the school parking lot and figured out the one beside the university height public school is the one that I should take.

Next week, when weather permitted, I should be able to walk to school without wandering off too far.

Yello bike ride in London
--
Thanks to P, I got to ride his new yellw Giant boke around the neighborhood in London. The air was fresh. Although I got lost a bit, I was pretty sure that I had plenty of exercise. Maybe later this afternoon I'll go for another ride.

Winners
--
I went to winners last Friday.

I stayed mainly in the lady's wear section. The one with kids' toy and clothes seemed to become very very far from me, and it used to be the one I head into directly. Just think of how much change it made when one became a mother.

I enjoyed my stay there browsing through jackets and shirts, in the mean time, I also miss the days I had with kids checking out new toys and books.

Both are nice.

Niagara Falls

Another trip we had before going to China was to Niagara Falls. It was an excellent one. I am hoping to return to the falls again, all four of us.

Kitten and I on the phone
--
Kitten:(I) miss mama.
Mama: I miss you a lot, too.
Kitten: Then do you like eat chicken-head-corn?
Mama: Of course I do.
Kitten: Then you make some for yourself at home and we have some here.
Mama: ok.
...
We sang songs, which reminds her the silly way Dada sang it. Then we talked about Dada and how they play together.

Grandpa was really good at calming Tigger down. With his strong but soft hands, he patted Tigger on the back and on his button and that works most of the time. The funny thing is that both me and grandma find we just could not do the same thing simply because our female patting is not strong and secure enough. Way to go, grandpa.

London, Ontario
--
Here I come, finally. In the morning, I have to go to school first thing to future the orientation place and schedule.

My landlord very nicely decorate my room before I move in. He put up a mirror, and 1, 2, 3,...4 bunch of flowers (artificial) with vases in this tiny room plus a few paintings and other small things. I would say this room looks very very cozy. Later in the week when I am on MSN with my folks in China, I definiteley want to show them my room through my webcam.

My stay in London will be one day short, because I still have to head back home for my driver's license exam this Friday. Good thing about that is that I can pick up a few things I forgot this time.

By the way, I should mention that Costco is Soooo close and for that I start to like this location. Back in Kitchener/waterloo you have to get on the highway and drive for nearly 20 minutes and here it's just like around-the-corner. Nice. Now I start to feel my membership may really pay off.

Dear kids,

I miss you all. My heart always falls when Kitten ask when mom and dad are coming together to pick her up. Honestly, I started thinking about the trip to China again even before my school starts. Ma told me that Tigger has been really really clingy yesterday evening and we started to suspect that maybe he's not feeling well. Hope not, really. I'll just call later to check out.
